Documentation Boards

Documentation Boards are used to display identify numbers assigned to boat hulls by the
United States Coast Guard.

Hull identification numbers (HIN) are assigned by the USCG as a way to assure boat ownership. Boats are usually originally registered with the boat maker and need to be re-registered by future owners. Not all boats may be registered and it is therefore your responsibility to register your boat. There are stiff fines associated with not having your boat registered. But that's not my department, I provide Documentation Boards to boat owners. These Documentation Boards are required by the U.S. Coast Guard for seaworthy boats owned by Americans. Click here for more information regarding USCG requirements.

These boards all measure 24 inches in length with the required 3 inch which are carved inward to meet the United States Coast Guard standards.

To Order Your Documentation Board
or to see what it will cost…

If you want additional Documentation Boards with the same number you can specify that on the order form. If you need several Documentation Boards all with different numbers you can specify the total number of boards you require if they are all carved of the same material. In the area for "additional information" you will insert each documentation number followed by the quantity required for that number, repeat this for each additional documentation number.

I have tried to make ordering your Documentation Board as easy as possible, if you still have any questions please phone or email me.

Your Documentation Board will be carved from the below selected material. The base price for each material is for an unfinished board. If you want it finished please select your option.
There are options for rounded corners and/or a beveled edge.
Once you have selected the board and options you want, you may select any of the 7 optional finishes if you want me to finish it for you.
